My first dive

On Halloween I tried scuba diving for the first time.
For the all time I had been under the impression that I was flying.
So much that I couldn’t help thinking that I must have been dreaming or tripping.
The presence of Mehmeth that was holding my hand was making me know for certain that everything was real and was giving me the calm needed to keep on thinking ” I’m breathing under the water and everything is fine”.
I had the feeling I was living something mistic, for that half an hour Mehmeth has been my shaman that, taking me by hand, was leading me to discover a new world.
I wasn’t really expecting to see the Ouroborus rising from the dephts, but seeing the sunbeams piercing the surface and remain suspended in midwater, almost solid and tochable, is impressive anyway.
I should make a couple of phone calls, I should tell a couple of friends: the ultimate psychedelic experience is under the water!
And then, on top of everything, the turtle (Caretta caretta). My horoscope told me I was going to be lucky “Halloween costume suggestion: a superhero whose super power is the ability to experience extreme amount of pleasure; the luckiest person who ever lived”. Well, I wore that costume for real!
The first impression was to have got high on calm+ : the silence, the blue everywhere, the fishes that couldn’t care less about me. Naively I thought that somehow the fishes should have paid some attentions to me, maybe running away terrified, or nibbling me, or hissing like a scared cat in a corner. Instead nothing. No fish has ever been less interested on me. They were chasing each other, playing, eating, strolling about more or less like the fishes of Walt Disney’s Little Mermaid but without all the dancing and singing.
I was kinda asking myself “What will I do down there for so long?”. I played. I play with the anemones that draw back as soon as you come close, I cut capers because your head can’t bump on the floor not even if you try, I chased that fish because one as colorful as that one I’ve never saw it before and time is up. We had to go back up again.
When I went out of the water the emotion was so intense that I didn’t know whether to cry or laugh.
After the first time there was a second and a third one and all the necessary one to get the Open Water Licence. But may it be for the turtle, may it be for the first time thrill, the first time you’ll never forget.

Oray’s video. Obviously I’m the one who has no idea what to do and look pretty stupid..

Tartaruga golosa. Alza sassi in cerca di cibo. Pesce Pilota pigrone. Si fa portare in giro in qua e in là.Greedy Turtle. Looking for food under the stones. Lazy Pilot Fish. Is been carried around here and there.

We dived with the Subaqua crew. Good guys, very experienced. Well recommended!
