In Asia quite often we come across fruit and vegetables that we have never seen before, and obviously we try them all! ; )
This fruit is called Wood Apple (Limonia Acidissima), it has a very hard shell and the pulp is brownish/pink with small and hard seeds that tend to get stuck in the teeth…
The Wood Apple has a very sour taste, therefore it is usually eaten with sugar or blended into a milk-shake with honey (super good even with coconut milk!).
It is rich in antioxidant and it helps to reduce the chances of breast cancer.
