8. Hey guys, I saw you arrive in Leh in September 2012…! I remember it because of the typical blue and yellow bikecolours and the 3 seconds tent on the back 🙂 You guys arrived in the town and were quite stressed, securing the bike immediately right in front of the Dolphin’s bakery. How I found you? I Googled on “Transalp Ladakh” and your video popped out on Youtube. I’m a transalp rider too. Did a trip from Netherlands to Norway this summer, amazing! Enjoy your time in India, it looks like is quite fun because you have been there for 2 years now? 🙂

     I remember our arrival in Leh and yes we really were quite stressed (and I guess that also trying to fit a huge bike up a narrow road didn’t help…)..
     India is an interesting country, every state is different, and inside each state, different etnic groups with different traditions and cultures. We kind of wanted to see the most of it, but after 2 years we realized we are not even half way done. Too big even for us… Time to move on, I guess… 🙂

11. complimenti la vostra vita è sicuro ed esclusivo appannaggio di chi ha una bella rendita finanziaria a disposizione… certo non di chi deve portare a casa la pagnotta

    • Ciao Anna, grazie del tuo commento… e` una domanda che ci fanno spesso, anche se di solito posta in maniera diversa.
      Noi lavoriamo, come tutti. Io sono ingegnere informatico e posso lavorare dappertutto (scrivo codice), Agata invece parla 4 lingue e fa traduzioni. Poi abbiamo fatto mille altri lavoretti improvvisati… tuttavia credo che la chiave sia nel fare molte rinunce alle comodita` alle quali si e` abituati in Italia. Per dirla con franchezza Anna non credo sia uno stile di vita che tutti troverebbero gradevole: e` molto stressante, come potrai immaginare, ma viene ripagato da altre cose. Insomma, di sicuro non assomiglia alla tua idea di “vacanza”. E se fai due conti ti renderai facilmente conto che costa meno vivere per esempio in India (e venire pagati in euro), che in Italia (e tirare la cinghia). Al costo delle rinunce e degli stress che ti ho citato, abbiamo preferito una vita con piu` liberta`, ma maggiore incertezza, rispetto alla vita di routine comune in citta`.
      Spero di aver esaurito la tua curiosita`.

12. Bellissimo..è quello che sogno di fare anche io…sono stata due volte a Samothraki, ho degli amici carissimi, vorrei fare anche io la vostra setessa esperienza ma mi spaventa l’inverno, so che nevica tanto..io vivo in Sardegna..mi piacerebbe sapere qualcosa in più..
